Dear First Presbyterian Pre-K Families,
Spring has officially arrived and the children will be enjoying the outdoors more in the coming weeks! Please have your child bring a jacket on the days when it is cool. Thank you to everyone who attended the Farm Days field trip with their child! Many of the children shared their favorite activity with me which ranged from milking the cow, seeing the BIG tractors, planting seeds and seeing other animals! These hands on experiences are opportunities for your children to grow and learn…thank you for supporting their education!
Mark your calendars for your child’s last school party, The Easter Party, which includes an egg hunt! Please send in ONE DOZEN plastic filled eggs with your child on the day of their party. Please see the schedule of of parties to the right of this newsletter.
Our three and four year old classes’ each have at least one field trip left before the end of the school year! You will be receiving information from your child’s teacher soon.
It is hard to believe that the school year is coming to an end. The teachers and I have been planning the first ever summer program for First Presbyterian Pre-Kindergarten. We will be running a six week program, Wacky Wednesday, beginning June 3 – July 8. This program is once a week, ages 3-5 (must be potty trained) and will run from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Pack your child’s lunch to eat at school then pick them up in time to enjoy the pool, family activity or a nap! Also, in July we will be offering a one week “Kindergarten Here We Come” program focusing on kindergarten readiness skills! Look for more information on both these programs and registration soon!
In closing, I would like to say thank you for a great school year and supporting First Presbyterian Pre-K in a year of transition. We hired two new teachers this year, Carole Cardemon and Sarah Daugherty, and they have done a phenomenal job with their classes and registration for next year reflects the dynamic energy they bring to our program! This next school year we will be celebrating 60 years of education in the community! Thank you for sharing your children with us! If you have not registered for next school year, we still have openings in some our classes! Click here to register!
To those families with children entering Kindergarten in the fall, if we can be of service to you in anyway, please know you may call upon us at any time! Best wishes to our future kindergarteners as you continue your education and love for learning!
