Dear First Presbyterian Pre-K Families,
March is here…and hopefully spring is around the corner! I would like to personally thank all the families that participated in our annual fundraiser! The Trivia Night was a HUGE success! The evening was filled with lots FUN, fellowship, food and thought provoking trivia questions. It was fun to watch the competiveness and laughter each table shared throughout the evening. The children enjoyed a movie, play and popcorn. Grand total for the evening…$1650.00 raised to supplement our scholarship fund and directly benefit the children with equipment and supplies! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR GENEROUS DONATIONS!
I would like to invite any families looking for a unique Bible study to join us on Wednesday nights, 6:00 pm dinner (no cost, freewill donation) and 6:45 pm Bible study. As Director of Children’s Ministry, I take the children Kindergarten through 5th grade out for a study on the Ten Commandments which includes: scripture, craft, games and fun! The adults remain in Fellowship Hall for a study and interpretation of the movie The Passion of the Christ leading up to Easter. The nursery is available for younger siblings. No reservation needed, just come with family and friends on Wednesday night at 6:00 pm!
As the weather becomes warmer, the children will be engaging in outdoor play! Please send your child to school with proper coats, hats and/or gloves to enjoy the outdoors.
Registration for 2015-2016 school year is open and filling quickly! If you have not registered for next year I encourage you to do so as soon as possible. Some classes are almost full! If you have any questions, please talk with your child’s teacher or contact me directly.
Many thanks to all our parents who support and make our parties, field trips, special events, etc…FUN for the children! Also, many of you donated crayons for a church mission trip to the Dominican Republic. This is the third trip to the D.R. and many supplies were lost since our last visit. Crayons are a necessity for this trip and between the church and the preschool working together to collect; we reached our goal and are now prepared to depart and serve. Also, I would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone for all the sweet valentines I received!
I thank God every day for the opportunity to work with amazing teachers, parents and children!
Tracy Clinger, Director of Children's Ministry
