Dear Families,

I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your participation with Open House this year!  It was a glorious Sunday in the life of the church and the preschool!  The congregation supports the ministry of the preschool and appreciated the opportunity to see the children sing!  I have to say they did a magnificent job!  I hope you were able to enjoy lunch and fellowship with other families and tour the classrooms!  Thank you for your support and most of all for sharing your beautiful children with us!

Please make note of the following reminders:

  • As the weather continues to change, please dress your child appropriately.  The children will continue to play outside if possible therefore warm coats; gloves and hats may be needed!
  • Please hang your car number up on your rearview mirror so the teachers are able to clearly see the number and keep dismissal prompt!  If you need an extra number or lost your number please ask your teacher or see me for another one!
  • Tuition is due at the first of each month!
  • Transportation for field trips is the responsibility of the parents unless the children will be riding the MITS bus.  Your child’s teacher will indicate if MITS will be providing transportation.  Please plan accordingly.

The month of November is our caring and sharing month.  It is an opportunity for the children to learn the importance of helping those who are less fortunate, sick or in need.  Each year here at First Presbyterian Pre-Kindergarten, we support a local agency and this year we are helping support one of our own students, Cameron and his mission to supply puzzles for kids who will be in the hospital over the holidays.  Please read more about Cameron’s Puzzle Cart!

All the Pre-K classes will celebrate Thanksgiving with a small Feast.  Toddler Time will have a party on November 19 (Wednesday) and November 25 (Tuesday).  Pre-K classes will celebrate on November 24 and 25.  Please look for more information under your child’s teacher news section!

There will be NO SCHOOL November 26-28!

December will be a short month, the last day of school will be Friday, December 12 and we will return on January 5, 2015!  We wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!
