Since 2000, the annual United Way Day of Caring has been providing members of Delaware County the opportunity to give back to their community through volunteering for one-day with hands-on projects. This experience enables local citizens to come face to face with non profit organizations and their clients, fostering a greater sense of community for people who are often less fortunate than themselves. United Way is dedicated to creating change in the areas of EDUCATION, INCOME and HEALTH. In the spirit of education, this year's Day of Caring requires that each participant must bring a new or gently used book to the event. The books will be sorted and provided to children of need. Please join others from First Presbyterian Church by
volunteering on Sat., Oct. 10th for the Annual Day of Caring. For more information and to register to
volunteer, please visit www.invitedtoliveunited.org or call Pat Zeabart,
759-5868. Hope to see you!
