Friends & neighbors PAIGE DEVINE, Delaware County's 2009 Junior Miss, placed in the top eight during the state Junior Miss competition in Frankfort. She received a $350 cash college scholarship. "It was a wonderful experience," she said. "I met some awesome girls I'll never forget. It was great." In October, Devine won the Delaware County Junior Miss competition, where she received $2,200 in college scholarships. She also won a $300 scholarship in each of the fitness, self-expression and talent competitions. A Delta High School senior, she is the daughter of Thomas and Lesley Devine of Muncie. THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS of the Indiana Youth Institute has announced the election of three new board members, including Muncie resident Charles Sursa. The Indiana Youth Institute promotes the healthy development of children and youth by serving the institutions and people of Indiana who work on their behalf. Sursa is a Certified Financial Planner professional and senior vice president, investments, for Raymond James and Associates in Muncie. Before joining Raymond James in 2008, he worked in various capacities for Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc., Industrial Trust & Savings Bank (previously Summit Bank, NBD Bank, First Chicago NBD and Bank One), and Mellon Bank. He and his wife, Claudia, have three children.
