I have learned that if you want a new approach to something, or if you want new enthusiasm, turn to young people. They are amazing in their energy, excitement and new ideas. Recently, Christian Ministries of Delaware County has been the recipient of this youthful enthusiasm. The First Presbyterian Youth Group organized and implemented a Food Pantry Raid. This is becoming a tradition for this engaged group, and they have shared their donations with Christian Ministries. The GIG (Growing in God) group of elementary children at First Presbyterian also put together a project to create birthday party bags that we can share with families so they may have a birthday party for their children. The bags include everything to make a fun party. What a thoughtful, new idea to put some joy in the lives of other youngsters. |
