Rebuilding 24th Rebuilding Together Celebrates April 24th
Did you know that Rebuilding Together is a national organization that repairs homes of low-income people? There are about 200 Rebuilding Together affiliates across the country and 13 affiliates in Indiana. All affiliates celebrate by working on National Rebuilding Together day, which is the last Saturday in April. This year that date is April 24th. Our local affiliate is Rebuilding Together Delaware County. With the help of volunteers and licensed plumbers and electricians we repair about 75-100 homes per year. Rebuilding Together repairs roofs, ceilings, floors, doors and windows, and builds wheel chair ramps. Each Tuesday we publish our weekly work schedule by email. During nice weather we also work on some Saturdays. We will be working on Saturday, April 17 and April 24.
People from several churches volunteer at Rebuilding Together Delaware County. We appreciate the support of First Presbyterian volunteers … especially Pastor Dave, Marty Kendrick and volunteer office worker Janie Miller. Also, First Presbyterian youth have cleaned and painted at the Rebuilding Together warehouse. Please join us for fellowship and helping people. If you are interested in volunteering please contact:
