HOME KOREAN CONGREGATION

GARY DEMAREE, president of the Muncie Rotary Club and Bob Gortner, chairman of the club's Rotary International Foundation Paul Harris Committee, recently presided over the Paul Harris Fellow induction ceremony for Carol Kundereich, wife of Al Kundenreich, Muncie Rotary Club member.

Club members can honor another person by designating them as a Paul Harris Fellow. Kundenreich was honored by her husband because of her involvement in making her community and the world better places. She was presented with the special Paul Harris Fellows certificate, pin and medallion symbolizing the award.

The Paul Harris Fellowship is named for Paul Harris, who founded Rotary with three business associates in Chicago in 1905. The fellowship was established in his honor in 1957 to express appreciation for a contribution of $1,000 to the humanitarianism and educational programs of The Rotary Foundation.

Those programs include an array of projects that save and invigorate the lives of people around the world and enhance international friendship and understanding. Foundation programs provide educational opportunities, food, potable water, health care, immunizations and shelter for millions of persons worldwide.

The Muncie Rotary Club, affiliated with the global service organization Rotary International, was founded in 1917 by a group of local business executives, professionals and community leaders.

Muncie Rotary Club is a catalyst for community leadership, professional development, friendships, service and international understanding. The club meets at noon Tuesdays in Minnetrista Cultural Center for lunch, networking, a business meeting and program.

Membership is by invitation.
