Muncie Rotary installs officers

Tom Farris, retiring president of the Muncie Rotary Club, presided over ceremonies for the installation of new officers and directors for the 2008-09 Rotary year, beginning July 1.

Muncie Rotary Club officers for the coming year are president Gary Demaree of Raymond James & Associates; secretary Julie Bering of ADM Commercial Real Estate; treasurer Merrill Greene of Merrill Greene CPA; president-elect Ray Montagno of Miller College of Business of Ball State University, and Farris, the past president of T.L. Farris & Associates.

New members of the board of directors (class of 2011) Gary Chenault of United Way of Muncie/Delaware County, Gay Nation of Paws Inc., Roger Lavery of the College of Communications Information & Media at Ball State University and Jim Wingate of Mid-West Metal Products.

Muncie Rotary Club, affiliated with the global service organization Rotary International, was founded in 1917 by a group of local business executives, professionals and community leaders, meets at noon Tuesdays at Minnetrista.
