Teacher for Parent's Day Out Class

Description of position:
A program for children ages 15 months to kindergarten
Offered Monday - Thursday and Friday mornings
Class Time:  9:00am-12:00pm
Teacher is at school from 8:30am-12:30pm
Teacher's Aide is at school from 8:45am - 12:15pm


Goal of the Class:
To provide a safe and loving environment that includes simple activities and guidance.

Direct Supervisor:  Pre-Kindergarten Director


Job Responsibilities Include:
Planning activities for children that include story time, music, recreation time, snack, simple craft
Post and monitor monthly sign-up sheets
Receive and document payments
Supervise student aide and practicum students
Organize schedules of aides and practicum students when needed
Find a sub for yourself when unable to be in class
Keep classroom clean and organized
Change diapers and help with toilet tasks
Attend Parent Orientation and Registration
Monitor and purchase supplies and shacks as needed (with reimbursement)
Be certified in CPR/First Aid and keep current



Teacher for the Three-Year-Old Preschool Class

Description of Position:
A program for children who are age 3 on or before September 1st of the current school year
Offered Tuesday and Thursday 9:00-11:15am and 12:15-2:30pm
Teacher is at school 8:15am-3:00pm
Teacher's Aide is at school 8:15am-2:45pm

Goal of the Class:
To provide a safe and loving environment that includes instruction, activities and guidance.

Direct Supersivor:  Pre-Kindergarten Director

Job Responsibilties Include:
Plan lessons for children that include: Circle Time, Story Time, Music, Recreation Time, Snack, Craft
Communicate with parents as needed (party reminders, newsletter articles, phones calls of concern, etc)
Supervise and mentor Teacher's Aide
Work with teachers of four-year-olds on plans for bulletin boards in room and hallway
Find a sub for self when unable to be in class
Keep classroom and storage closet clean and organized
Help with toilet tasks when needed (children for this class are required to be toilet trained)
Attend parent orientation, open house and meet & greet events
Hold & maintain current certification in CPR/first aid
Be present and assist with dismissal of students (11:15-11:30am and 2:30-2:45pm)


Qualifications for positions preferred but not limited to:
Love of children
Teaching degree in Elementary education or Early Childhood Education
Experience in teaching
