Best described as a
"non-food" food bank, Take Five's ultimate goal is to provide members of our
community who are in need with up to a total of 5 hygiene, cleaning and paper
items per month - items that Food Stamps DO NOT PROVIDE!
Additionally, Take Five strives to redefine the way people perceive those
who are in need. By challenging those who receive our services to "pay it
forward," we work to impact our community one family at a time.

Explosive Growth = Explosive
Need
In our 5 year history, we have never seen need so prevalent in our
community.
Last month, Take Five served 478
families, 147 of which were new.
In 2007, our monthly total averaged around 200
families. We have grown exponentially, while our donations, as a
result of the difficult economic times, has decreased dramatically.
We cannot continue at this
current pace unless YOU, members of
our community, step in and help to bridge our funding gap.
I don't know of any other way to say it...except...we need your help, and we need it now!
Please consider a cash/check/credit card donation to Take Five today -- we
make it really easy for you, and as a 501(c)3, your donation may be
tax-deductible (please check with your tax preparer).
To donate via check: Take Five
Community Outreach PO Box 1692 Muncie, IN 47308-1692
To donate cash: Email Liane
Harrold to arrange for pickup/dropoff.
We thank you so much for your consideration. Your kind help will allow us
to continue to service the growing number of people in need in our
community.
Help people one roll of toilet paper at a time,

Saying
Goodbye... This summer, Take
Five lost a warrior for those in need. Lisa Hawkins, a valiant Take Five
volunteer, passed away. We would like to take this time to honor her service to
our organization and our community. Lisa's beautiful spirit will continue to
shine in those she helped, and she will always be remembered as a woman who was
willing to step out of her comfort zone to help her family, her friends, and her
community. Thank you Lisa, for making Take Five what it is
today! |
