Missions

Each of us is an integral part of the body of Christ and possesses unique and divinely inspired gifts. Christ calls us to discover, develop and employ our gifts to bear constant witness to his ministry and to continue our Lord's commission "to make disciples of all nations."

Our call requires us to fully commit our lives to the teaching, preaching and healing which Christ began. Further we are to nurture our lives, both individually and corporately, through the sacraments, daily meditation, prayer and fellowship.

Further, we commit ourselves to upholding God's covenant with Abraham, as recalled in Genesis 12:1-3. For we have been richly blessed and are called to use those blessings for others, just as Christ gave himself on our behalf.

At First Presbyterian we seek to become a vibrant testimony to the power of the Holy Spirit and the reality of Christ's resurrection. In so doing we strive to glorify God by becoming demonstrations of the love of Christ, living freely in the joyous reality of His grace.
