Muncie - Muncie – Jared Southwick, 34, passed away Tuesday evening, June 21, 2011 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born on October 23, 1976 in Muncie the son of Brad and Terry (Neilson) Southwick, graduated from Muncie Central High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Ball State University.

Jared was a self-employed musician who loved his music and had a compassion for fellow musicians. He also traveled all over the world with his music touching many lives, whom he was willing to share of himself.

Surviving besides his parents; are his sister, Aimee Southwick, Muncie; four nieces and nephews; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bill and Betty Southwick and his maternal grandparents, Robert and Bette Neilson.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2011 in First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Carrie Jo Miller officiating.

Friends may call at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
