MUNCIE
- Louise M. Pollard, 92, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at
Westminster Village Nursing Home in Muncie where she had been a
resident since November, 2004.
Louise
was born November 30, 1917, in Manchester, New Hampshire the daughter
of Walter Brewster McGregor and Nettie (Haskell) McGregor. She was a
graduate of Colby College. Following graduation she worked as a jewelry
courier in New York City. While there she met and married Dr. Stanley
W. Burwell. He preceded her in death on May 8, 1978. She married Donald
C. Pollard in April, 1979. He preceded her in death on May 14, 1997.
Louise
lived in the Muncie area since 1952. She was a member of Psi Iota Psi
Fraternity; Daughters of American Revolution; the Delaware Country
Club; and the First United Presbyterian Church. She loved the theater,
symphony, and all creative arts. Louise was an avid Ball State
University football and basketball enthusiast.
Survivors
include two sons, Bruce MacGregor Burwell, Socorro, New Mexico and John
Woodruff Burwell, (wife, Catherine), Rome City, IN; one grandson, Adam
J. Burwell, (wife, Jennifer), Hewitt, Texas; one brother-in-law,
William Burwell, (wife, Mimi), Seattle, Washington; two sisters-in-law,
Jennie Burwell, Seattle, Washington, and Marion MacGregor, Goffstown,
New Hampshire; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, David MacGregor, Goffstown, New Hampshire.
Services
will be held 11:30 a.m., Saturday, February 27, 2010 at The Meeks
Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Rev. Ronald
Naylor officiating. Entombment will follow in Elm Ridge Mausoleum.

and friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2010 or after
10:30 a.m., Saturday at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington
Street Chapel.
