Patricia J. Nance, 62

MUNCIE - Patricia J. "Patty" Nance, 62, of Muncie and formerly of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born on October 28, 1947 in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Joe V. and Virginia B. (Blaker) Miller. She was a 1965 graduate of Lee L. Driver High School and had previously been a teacher's aide at Baker Elementary School in Winchester.

Patty was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Muncie, where she had served in various organizations within the church.

She was also a former member of Main St. Christian Church in Winchester.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and also enjoyed knitting, sewing and reading.

Patty is survived by her three children, Rob Nance (wife, Tracy Smithson) of Westerville, OH; Stacey Nance of Muncie; and Nick Nance (wife, Tara) of North Webster; her five grandchildren, Jordan Brewer, Dylan Nance, Devin Nance, Ian Nance and Alexis Nance; and her sister, Peg Miller of Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, with Pastor Carrie Jo Miller officiating.

Friends and relatives may call from 2-6 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
