Nancy M. Adams, 92

MUNCIE – Nancy M. Adams, 92, passed away early Saturday morning, September 8, 2007 at Ball Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born September 23, 1914 in Danville, IN. the daughter of Grant and Edith Martin. Nancy was a graduate of Danville High School.

Soon after graduation she married Bob Adams, they moved to Delaware County in 1942 where she was a homemaker until she and Bob opened B & K Root Beer Stand in 1957. She ran the business for five years until Bob retired from the State Police Post.

Mrs. Adams was on the board at Children’s Home and YWCA.

She was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church where she helped with the Ministry Guild.

She was on the Kegeretts Bowling Team and volunteered at the Raggedy Ann Shop and at Emens Auditorium, through her involvement in RSVP and a former member of Omega Nu Tau Sorority. Nancy loved dancing, bowling, playing bingo, reading and playing in her euchre group.

Mrs. Adams is survived by her daughter, Jo Ellen Clark, (husband-Roger); two grandsons, Scott Clark, (wife-Leesa) and Brad Clark, (wife-Kerry); four great granddaughters, Tara, Morgan, Courtney, and Casey.

She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-four years, Robert Adams; two daughters, Jane and Carolyn.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at The Meeks Mortuary & Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Dr. Ronald Naylor officiating.

Burial will follow in the Elm Ridge Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2007 and one hour prior to services at The Meeks Mortuary & Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the donors favorite charity.
