Rev. Dr. Daren Hofmann
Pastor Daren Hofmann was born in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was ordained as a pastor in 2007. He served as an associate pastor at First Federated Church in Peoria, Illinois and as the solo pastor at White Lick Presbyterian Church in Avon, Indiana. He was called to the be the Senior Pastor of First Presbyterian Church in late 2019.
Daren has an B.S. in Mathematics from Illinois College and taught High School math for four years after college. He received his M.Div from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia and his D.Min from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago.
Rev. Hofmann’s wife, Sarah, teaches math. Together, they have two children, James and Amelia.
Rev. Dr. Myungku Lee
Associate Pastor, International Congregation
Pastor Lee was born in Korea. He was a minister for 15 years in his country until he was called to be the minister of the International Congregation at First Presbyterian Church of Muncie in 2000.
He received his B.A. in Christian Education from Seoul Theological Seminary in 1984, a Th.M. in Social Religion from the Methodist Theological Seminary in 1987, and a diploma in Social Work from SoogShil University. He received a Doctor of Ministry degree from Anderson University in Anderson, IN.
Reverend Lee's wife, Hyejung Lee Cho is a registered nurse at Ball Memorial Hospital. Together they have 2 children, Sunwoo and Jiwu.
Dr. Kerry Glann
Director of Music and Chancel Choir
Director of Music & Chancel Choir Director Kerry Glann is the Associate Director of Choral Activities at Ball State University, where he conducts the Concert Choir and Women's Chorus and teaches conducting and choral literature courses. He was previously on the music faculty of Kent State University and taught in the public schools of Ohio. He holds a BM in music education from Bowling Green State University, an MM in conducting from Kent State University, and a DMA in choral conducting from the University of North Texas.
An experienced theatre conductor, Kerry spent 17 seasons as musical director of The Huron Playhouse, a non-profit, professional-grade summer theatre in Huron, Ohio, where he led performances of over thirty productions. He has conducted opera for professional and university companies and has been on the staff of the Bigfork Sumrner Playhouse in Bigfork, Montana.
Kerry grew up in the First Presbyterian Church of Huron, Ohio, where his mother is still the choir director. Before moving to Muncie, he served as Director of Music at the Kent United Church of Christ in Kent, Ohio.
Peter Douglas is in high demand as a collaborative pianist and organist throughout Indiana and Ohio. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Arts in Piano Chamber Music and Accompanying at Ball State University and studies piano with Ray Kilburn. Peter is also an active church musician and has served previously as Senior Choral Scholar (Assistant Choirmaster) for Grace Episcopal Church in Muncie, IN; Associate Organist for St. Mary Catholic Church in Wooster, OH; Director of Music (Choirmaster and Organist) for Church of the Epiphany (Episcopal) in Euclid, OH; and Organist/Contemporary Music Director at Dalton Presbyterian Church in Dalton, OH. Peter is also a choral conductor and composer; he was commissioned in August 2016 to compose an anthem for the centennial celebration of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wooster, OH.
Gabby began her work with First Presbyterian Church in December of 2016. Born and raised in Mexico, Gabby moved to San Diego, CA in 2001 and to Parker City, IN in 2011. She has education in accounting, office administration, medical billing and coding. She has 20+ years of experience in customer service and 15+ years of experience in office administration. Gabby brings a wealth of knowledge and organization to the office.
Gabby has five children and a German Shepherd. Her youngest son, still at home, enjoys basketball and football. Gabby also has 4 granddaughters ages 2-12 years old.
Director of Pre-School
Jami Jones moved to Muncie in 2001 when she attended Ball State to earn her Master’s Degree. She is married to Mike and has one daughter, Mia. Jami has over 15 years of classroom experience including grades 1-9, with most of her time spent in Middle School Language Arts. She has a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration. For the first 6 years of daughter, Mia's life, Jami removed herself from the classroom and stayed home. This gave her the opportunity to spend time on projects at church, volunteer with community organizations, and aid in Mia’s classrooms. Mia attended 1st Pres for three years, where Jami felt like it as a family.
